My mom and Mia came to visit for fall break, and we were so excited to have them!
Since Mia had never visited DC before, and they were only here for 5 short days, we decided to take an all day bus tour to see all the major sites of DC. It was great!
Here's a list of the sites. Most of these we were able to get off the bus and visit, but some of them we saw from the bus.

World War II Memorial
Arlington National Cemetery (Kennedy Gravesites & Changing of the guard ceremony)
Iwo Jima Memorial

Having a little conversation with Eleanor? |
Mia found the place where MLK stood to give his "I have a dream" speech. |
Honest Abe! |

I was so impressed at how respectfully these boys behaved at the Vietnam memorial. |
In front of our tour bus! |
Walking around the tidal basin |
FDR Memorial |
The eternal flame at the Kennedy gravesite |
We got there just in time to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. |
It was a very long day, but so much fun! Thanks so much to Karen for watching the littles (especially since we were gone almost 2 hours longer than we expected).
That evening we celebrated my mom's birthday with cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday, Mom! |
