Elmo's World
What is it about this furry red guy that kids love? Is it the high-pitched baby voice? The constant giggling? Or is it those big friendly googly monster eyes? I promise I did nothing to foster this obsession, but Keaton can't get enough! He can spot the guy from a mile away! The only Elmo he has been exposed to is on Sesame Street (which he watches maybe once a week) and the minimal books and toys we have around the house with Elmo's picture. All day long, he brings me the remote and says "La La?" Suddenly all of our DVDs are not good enough - I had to make a special trip to the library to get "LaLa" movies! I know I should not encourage this. But, I just can't say no when the movie starts and that big smile spreads over his whole face and he looks at me with an expression of pure joy - "LaLa!"

Shark!
This is Scott's latest short film. It portrays my nephew Jacob and my brother Jason as two extremely jumpy teens in the Gulf of Mexico on our vacation, check it out.

Dynamite!
We returned from the beach a day early because we would not miss the chance to celebrate the opening of the Brenda Lee exhibit at the Hall of Fame! Scott's family came to Nashville for the occasion as well. On Saturday, we all were able to attend a special interview that Scott conducted with Brenda Lee for a packed audience in the Ford Theater. The event was so popular that they had to turn people away due to fire code regulations! I have to brag a little on my hubby - the exhibit is phenomenal! We are so proud of him and this amazing accomplishment.

Scott introducing Brenda Lee, "Little Miss Dynamite"
Scott did such an incredible job with this interview, and Brenda was hilarious! It was recorded and should be available to watch on the Hall of Fame's website eventually- I'll be sure to post a link when I get it.
And I finally get to meet her! She posed for a picture with my family during her autograph signing after the program.

Gulf Shores
We had such terrific time at the beach last week. The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed relaxing and playing in the sand!
Since my brother and his family were not able to come this year, my parents invited my best friend Meagan and her family to join us on vacation this year. Meg and Dave have two boys, William (3) and Hudson (19m), so Keaton was never lacking for someone to play with!

6 years
Six years ago was my wedding day. I was a wreck. I didn't sleep a wink the night before. I wanted to get married, I loved Scott, I had dreamed of this day my whole life, but when it came right down to walking down the aisle, I just could not settle my nerves! I wish so much I could go back in time as the future me with a little wedding day pep talk. I would tell myself, "Relax! This is the best decision you have ever made!" Every year that my anniversary passes, I realize how truly blessed I am to have a husband that loves me, makes me laugh, shares my interests, provides for me, encourages me in my faith, and is a wonderful father to our son. What a journey our six years together has been. I'm looking forward to many many more! Happy Anniversary, Scott!
